The much-awaited first look of Janhvi Kapoor from Peddi, starring Ram Charan, has finally been revealed. Janhvi steps into the role of Achiyyamma, a bold and fiery village girl described as “fierce and fearless.” The makers — Vriddhi Cinemas, Mythri Movie Makers, and Sukumar Writings — introduced her character as “our Peddi’s love with a firebrand attitude.”

Earlier this year, the Devara actress shared her excitement about working on Peddi, calling it a refreshing experience. She mentioned that her character is “very different and interesting” and added that she doesn’t feel like a “conventional heroine” in this multi-lingual film. Praising director Buchi Babu Sana, Janhvi said he is a “deeply rooted filmmaker with a unique vision.”

The film’s teaser, released in April, hinted at a powerful storyline. The makers described it as “the biggest battle you will ever take up — the fight for who you are, the fight for your identity.”

Peddi features music composed by A.R. Rahman, cinematography by Rathnavelu, and editing by Navin Nooli. Produced on a grand scale, the film is all set to hit theatres worldwide on March 27, 2026.

With Janhvi Kapoor’s rural transformation and Ram Charan’s powerful presence, Peddi is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Indian films of 2026.
